Collection of Information
LJTC does not collect personally identifying data, such as names, addresses, email addresses, and the like, based on website visits. All identifying user information is given willingly by LJTC Members (i.e.- “opt-in”) at time of New Membership or Membership Renewal. We do not track or record information about individuals and their visits. We may compile and report aggregate statistics about our users — such as numbers, traffic patterns, and related site information — but these statistics include no personally identifying information.
Your name and basic contact information occasionally will not be exchanged with other organizations. We do not sell, exchange, share, or rent any lists to political parties or candidates for political office. On Occasion we do reserve the right to disseminate one-page flyers to our Membership base on behalf of our Gold members via the Vertical Response email portal. Credit card information is not made available to any third party and is considered completely confidential.
Third Party Processing
Purchases made through the website are processed by PayPal, who handles all related ordering and processing of credit-cards.
How secure is the PayPal site?
The PayPal site is highly secure. PayPal uses industry-leading technology to keep your information safe.
PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you even register or log in to the PayPal site, their server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher.
Once your information reaches the PayPal site, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. PayPal servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.
What Makes PayPal So Secure?
PayPal’s state-of-the-art fraud models and proprietary fraud engine work together to help stop fraudulent transactions before they happen. In addition, PayPal stays at the forefront of security, developing many anti-fraud technologies every year.
With PayPal, you've got the industry's most experienced fraud team on your side. PayPal processes billions of dollars in payments each year, allowing them to continually perfect anti-fraud protections. As a result, PayPal's loss rate is significantly lower than the industry average.
PayPal is committed to protecting the privacy of users. When you send money using PayPal, recipients (such as LJTC) never see your credit card numbers. We only see your email address, date of sign-up, and whether or not you have completed PayPal's verification process.
How We Protect and Store Personal Information
In this policy, we use the term "personal information" to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been made anonymous so that it does not identify a specific user.
We store and process your personal information as compliant with Payment Card Industry standards. We protect your information using physical, technical, and administrative security measures to reduce the risks of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure and alteration. Some of the safeguards we use are firewalls and data encryption, physical access controls to our data centers, and information access authorization controls.
Changes to Our Policy
LJTC may amend this policy from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information, we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on this page.
