All responses will be reported in aggregate, and you will not be individually identified. This is your chance to help shape a more inclusive and equitable Parks and Recreation system that reflects the needs of all communities. Deadline to complete the survey is February 28, 2026.

40th Annual Coastal Cleanup
40th Annual Coastal Cleanup Day – Saturday, September 21, 2024
No matter where you live in San Diego County, you can make a difference in our watersheds!
The Ocean Conservancy partners with volunteer organizations across the world to create the largest, international cleanup day. I Love A Clean San Diego leads the efforts for this day in coordination with the California Coastal Commission in San Diego County for the 40th Annual Coastal Cleanup Day! This year, we have 100 + locations for volunteers to choose from, inland and coastal. Volunteers of all ages can grab cleanup supplies - buckets, grabbers and gloves to join in! So mark your calendars for Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 9 AM and be a part of this important day!
A key part of this success is collecting data on the types of litter that volunteers clean up! This detailed data gives us a snapshot of what is affecting the health of our environment to help shape change. Data collected from this event feeds into the world’s largest database on marine debris.
Registration opens Thursday, September 1 at CleanupDay.org. Once registration opens you will be able to select from a list of cleanup locations across the county!
Removing litter makes a huge impact on the health of our waterways and oceans no matter if you are inland or coastal! For more information and registration details, head to https://CleanupDay.org to register for one of the 100 sites and for this one, select La Jolla Windansea
